The Basic Forensic Fire Death Investigation Course provides advanced instruction in the systematic investigation of fire-related fatalities. Students will develop the knowledge and practical skills necessary to properly investigate, document, preserve, and process fatal fire scenes using current investigative practices and forensic science in a real hands-on envirement.
Locating the Dead-SLO is a one day, one of a kind training opportunity for certified HRD/Cadaver K9 teams to train their K9’s in real life scenarios with Whole body cadavers. Each year, scenarios change based on current situations in an ever-changing world to give K9 Handlers and their K9’s an opportunity to train in new situations in a controlled environment. Registration begins early February of each year. If you would like more information, please contact the course Directors Mark Calcagno at
